Jonah Murdock, M.D., Ph.D. is a board certified urologist at Mid Atlantic Urology Associates, a large single specialty group of urologists in the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. Dr. Murdock treats the full range of urologic conditions, including for example, urologic cancer, kidney stones, prostate obstruction and incontinence. He specializes in robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery. He started the robotic urologic surgery programs at Doctors Community Hospital in 2011 and at the Washington D.C. Veterans Administration Medical Center in 2010.

In 1991 Dr. Murdock graduated with honors with a B.A. from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and completed a Ph.D. in philosophy at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In 2003 he graduated with an M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed a general surgery internship and was a resident in general surgery at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. from 2003 to 2005. In 2009 Dr. Murdock completed his residency in urology at Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology in 2012.

Dr. Murdock teaches philosophy of medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Endourological Society, the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a past member of the American Philosophical Association. He has delivered lectures at national conferences on robotic surgery and neurourology, and has published on a wide range of topics, including laparoscopic urologic surgery, ethics, and health care policy.
