Dr. Shailendra Kumar
Shailendra Kumar, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S., a Fulbright Scholar, is a Board-Certified Urologist and, prior to that, was Board-Certified in General Surgery by one of the most prestigious institutions in India. He went to Indian Ivy League pre-med and Prince of Wales Medical College, Patna. His training started at the University of Massachusetts and finished at the famed Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City.
His interests are in general urology with a special interest in urologic oncology. He has been in practice for 36 years and is one of the Washington Post’s “Top Doctors” in urology. Additionally, he has been recognized as a top urologist according to SuperDoctors.com for the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore-Northern Virginia areas.
He has published many articles in peer-reviewed, prestigious, national and international urology journals. Currently, he is serving as the Chief of Urology at Washington Adventist Hospital, Maryland and has served as Chairman, Surgery Department of the same institution.
